VISA - FREE TRAVEL FOR 30 COUNTRIES TO ENTER INDONESIA COMES INTO EFFECT ON APRIL 2015

Indonesia government really wants to boost the number of foreign tourists to Indonesia. Not enough with a free plan for a tourist visa from 4 countries, the government eventually add up 30 more countries.

According to the Tourism Minister, With an additional 30 countries, , Indonesia has given visa-free facilities to 45 countries. Still less than Thailand and  Malaysia. for your information, Thailand offers Visa free travel to 56 countries , while Malaysia offers it to 164 Countries.

The following are some countries exempted from Visa ;

3. South Korea
4. United states
5. Canada
6. New Zealand
7. Mexico
8. Russia
9. England
10. France 
11. Germany
12. Netherlands
13. Italy
14. Spain
15. Switzerland
16. Belgium
17. Sweden
18. Austria
19. Denmark
20. Norway
21. Finland
22. Poland
23. Hungary
24. Republic
25. Qatar
26. United  Arab Emirates 
27. Kuwait
28. Bahrain
29. Oman
30. South Africa

well, Indonesia did not include Australia  in the list of visa free countries due to reciprocity reason.  Australia applies a valid visa, therefore, for those who comes to Australia, including from Indonesia, must use the Visa. So does Indonesia.

In the mean time, Visa free Travel would  certainly  be just accessible  through Five International airports namely in Jakarta, Medan, Batam, Bali and Surabaya and would come with restrictive supervising.

Of the additional 30 countries, Indonesia Government expects  there are an additional 1 million tourists. When a foreign tourists brought US $ 1200, Indonesia will rake in foreign exchange approximately US $ 1 billion.
